Project Results

The project and its results will benefit adult learners, adult trainers, organisations offering adult training, companies, and employers from all sectors. The recognition and validation process of learning is made visible and easy to comprehend by all active parties thus improving the situation of adult learners in vulnerable situations, in terms of employability, education and lifelong learning and training.

Self-Assessment Tool

Identification of skills and competences of the learner, including non-formal and informal learning which will be transferred in a digital, simple, and visual self-evaluation tool.

The project’s partnership will develop a self-assessment tool that will:

enable learners to assess their personal skills and competencies gained through non-formal and informal learning, maintain their profile, and transfer it easily, creating a type of learning record that will provide actual evidence of personal achievement. Also, it will be able to offer them guidelines about the process and important tips about specific skills they should improve, facilitating reflection on their own learning, leading to more awareness of learning strategies and needs.

create a process for all the stakeholders, which will include:

benefits of identification and recognition

best practices

guidance for assessors in defining some of the changes they wish to bring to the validation processes for learners’ skills and competences

a general overview and valuable information of the future candidates’ skills and competences for Businesses’ representatives

It will enhance the learner-centered approach so that the learning environment will support the learner to reach his full potential.

It is going to be targeted towards adult trainers and the companies and employers offering learning environments for adult learners.

Its innovative value will make it easier to match the learning environment (company) and the adult learner so that the adult learner can gain micro-credentials thus improving his possibilities for employment.

It will be dynamic, user friendly and free for all, usable in various contexts.

Micro-credentials in the Process of Identifying Competence

The process visualisation shows how the work environment is identified, how work packages are defined, and how tasks can be divided into micro-credentials.

The process also describes the role of the learner and how the learner's competence and progress can be identified and evaluated together with a working life representative (coach, supervisor) and the learner.

In this process, the learner's competence is made visible and validated through assessment and documentation.

Through micro-credentials, individuals can flexibly develop the knowledge, skills, and competencies they need for personal and professional development.

How to use the results of the soft skills identification tool

In a technological world it is important that we think carefully about the human elements and see their value in life and work. Generally, in life we use so-called soft skills. The skills that are necessary to be successful at work. These include critical thinking, problem solving, cognitive or emotional empathy, public speaking, professional writing, teamwork, digital literacy, leadership, professional attitude, work ethic and career management.

You can flourish as an individual if you have these soft skills. You will find it easier to solve problems, delegate, motivate and develop teams. Soft skills are personal, interpersonal skills that define a person's interactions with others.
